New York Sour
The New York Sour is prepared with 60 ml of whiskey, 22 ml of simple syrup, 30 ml of lemon juice, a few drops of egg white and 15 ml of red wine, giving it a reddish colour. First, mix all the ingredients (except the red wine) in a shaker with ice. Then strain the mixture into a pre-chilled glass with ice cubes. Add the red wine.
Cherry Point Sour
To make a Cherry Point Sour, you need 60 ml of whiskey, 22 ml of lemon juice, 22 ml of simple syrup, red wine, ice, a cherry and a lemon slice. Start by mixing the whiskey, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a shaker with ice. Strain the drink into a lowball glass with ice. Add red wine to the drink. Garnish with a cherry skewered on a lemon slice.
Maple Rye Sour
To prepare a Maple Rye Sour, you need 60 ml of Rye Whiskey, 15 ml of lemon juice, 7 ml of maple syrup and 7 ml of Amaro liqueur. First, mix all the ingredients in a shaker with ice. Then strain the mixture into a pre-chilled glass and garnish with an orange twist.
Lychee Sour
A Lychee Sour is made with 45 ml of whiskey, 7 ml of lemon juice, 7 ml of simple syrup and 45 ml of lychee juice. Start by mixing all the ingredients in a shaker with ice. Then strain into a lowball glass with ice. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
Cranberry Orange Whiskey Sour
The Cranberry Orange Whiskey Sour takes 30 ml of cranberry juice, 90 ml of orange juice, 60 ml of whiskey, 15 ml of Grand Marnier, 15 ml of lemon juice, 15 ml of simple syrup, ginger beer, and two sprigs of thyme. First, mix all the ingredients (except the ginger beer) in a shaker with ice. Then strain the mixture into a chilled glass. Finish the cocktail with ginger beer. Garnish the drink with an orange twist and thyme.
